What is therapy?
It’s a process (usually weekly, but sometimes fortnightly or even monthly) in which you engage for an hour with a trained person (the therapist) and talk about whatever is uppermost in your mind….
The therapist will listen attentively, paying close attention to what is both said and unsaid, in a calm, accepting and non judgmental manner, and will work cooperatively and collaboratively with you to uncover truths, insights and strategies to help you deal with whatever is troubling you.
